When asked how business woman Kemyana Jones-Bey amassed a hefty seven figures in the real estate and beauty industry, she credits her success on learning fast, working hard and giving back to her community. Known today as the beauty boss, Jones-Bey, launched her entrepreneurial career in 2008 when she opened a beauty supply store in Miami, Florida.
Amid growing success and popularity, in 2012, Kemyana rebranded, transforming her beauty supply store to salon suites. The Perfect Hair company, now known as The Perfect Salon Suites, allows Kemyana to connect seasoned beauty professionals to affordable luxury salon suite space. Kemyana's ability to navigate the challenges of the beauty industry fueled her passion to share her knowledge. In 2014, she expanded her pay-it-forward belief system and commitment to helping others, by establishing her non-profit organization, Women’s Enhancement Centers of the Americas, which provides resources, tools and products for women to be the best versions of themselves in every area of their lives.
To date, W.E.C.A. has empowered hundreds of women by providing career prep, business guidance and other resources for success.
Despite all of Kemyana’s success, she was not immune to the economic hardships caused by COVID19 and the civil unrest. In March of 2020, Kemyana struggled to find a pivot as revenue from her salon suites and real estate investment properties quickly came to a halt. Luckily, she saw increased sales from Tea Pleasers, her holistic tea company, and realized that her next chapter was linked to products. Kemyana plunged head first into the private label industry becoming a product liaison to Instagram and Youtube Influencers. In four months, Jones-Bey grossed a six figure income and began using the moniker, Private Label Queens. Private Label Queens offers customizable beauty, cosmetic and personal care products to buyers on a much smaller scale. “Yes - my products are paraben & cruelty free, but the absolute best part is, my customers can order 12 units or 12,000 cases,” informs Kemyana.
With her current focus on growth, scaling and philanthropy, Kemyana Jones-Bey shows resilience, ingenuity and compassion at every turn.
